CANDLE CARE TIPS

We want you to have the best experience possible while burning your candles.  Following these instructions will help keep you and your loved ones safe as well as maximize both the scent and burn time of your candle.

Upon first lighting your candle the wax needs to melt completely to the edges of the container and roughly 1/4” – 1/2” deep.  This is called a full melt pool and will set the “memory” of your candle to help prevent tunneling and allow you to extend the life of the candle, and help project the scent.

Candle Care:

  • Keep wick trimmed to ¼’’ at all times
  • Burn candle within sight at all times
  • Keep out of the reach of children and pets
  • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire
  • Remove all packaging before burning
  • Place on temperature safe surface to avoid heat damage
  • Keep away from drafts
  • Keep wax pool free of debris
  • Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time
  • Discontinue use when ¼’’ of wax remains
  • Do not use water or any other liquid to extinguish your candle

Soot issues:

If you are experiencing excess soot from your candle:

  • Make sure to trim your wicks to 1/4'' before each use
  • If you are still experiencing excess sooting, please trim your wick to 1/8’’
  • Move candle away from any vents, fans, or air drafts
  • Make sure you are not burning your candle longer than the recommended time of 3-4 hours

If your wooden wick candle has a flame that is taller than 1in, please carefully extinguish the candle. Once the candle is extinguished and the wax has fully hardened, trim your wooden wick down to 1/4'', to remove any of the black carbon layer. Be sure to discard the wick remanence so it does not melt with the wax in your candle. This will allow the candle to maintain normal flame and provide the best burning experience!
